Would You Rather-






In the film 'Would You Rather' The first thing that we have been presented with is 'IFC Films' , there advertisement lasted 13 seconds,next company to appear was '' there advertisement went on for 12 seconds
.
After that the company which is presenting the film is 'The Lambrick Foundation' , then you see a women having a conversation with a man.The camera shot that is shown  is a track I can tell his because the camera shot is moving closer to the characters who are talking. , .meanwhile that is happening in between the information , we are shown some more shots of the women and man talking, after about 5 seconds it flickers back to the black screen with more information , this does this for over a minute . In between the shots the camera action that is used is mainly Track and wide shot this is done to see the expression on there faces.

Shortly after that we are present with the film logo 'Would You Rather' and more credits , while they was being shown the background is the an x-ray vision on a human body , they have used this because It links in with the illness her brother has, The music that is being played is heart racing , mysterious. This  go on For over a minute and an half


Following This the film starts , we as been shown two people one of them being a girl called Iris and the other being her brother called Raleigh.(Raleigh has an illness and Iris has to look after him however she cant afford the price of the treatment).The conversation they are having is about his illness. The camera work in the film is mainly wide shots these are used for conversation instead of using over the shoulder shot



This film fits in the thriller genre, I know this because it fits into most of the codes and conventions

Quick cuts-Conversation between Iris and Raleigh , the shots are short and quick, This is done to make the audience want to listen to the conversation.

low-key lighting - when the lady and man was talking in the dinner , it was all dark however the people talking was in colour. This is done to show she in at dark place.

Tension music -When the film showed it film title , heart beating music played and made everyone have a mysterious feeling about the film. This is done to get the audience heart racing and to wonder what happening.

Colours- Dark and dull through out the sequence until the film starts , this id done to make the audience to see how depressed she is .
